How many applicants will
be admitted into each class?
In order for
our children to get the best education available, we have a maximum class size
of 20 per teacher. An aide will be provided for any larger classes.
What age must my child be
to attend HCS?
Students must
meet the following age requirements, unless special approval is given by the
school board:

Three-Year-Old
Pre-Kindergarten: 3 years old by
September 1 of the school year. Students must also be fully potty-trained.
·
Four-Year-Old
Kindergarten (K4): 4 years old by September 1 of the school year
·
Five-Year-Old
Kindergarten (K5): 5 years of age by
September 1 of the school year
What are the criteria for
acceptance?
In reviewing
applications, the admissions committee will take into consideration the
student’s past academic performance, teacher and pastor recommendations, and
the motivations for wanting to become a part of HCS. This information will be used to determine if
HCS can provide an appropriate educational environment for the applicant and if
the applicant can be reasonably successful in school.

Do you accept
home-schooled or part-time students?
HCS accepts
home-schooled and part-time (3 hours or less) students at the secondary
level. Tuition will be figured on the
established per class rate. Part-time
students will also pay registration fees and all enrollment fees. Students wishing to enroll in 4 or more class
hours will be considered full time.
HCS will
accept part-time students under the following conditions:

All
standard admissions procedures and requirements are met, including the
registration fee.
·
The
class for which application is made is not full.
·
The
part-time student will be limited to three classes during the school year.
Students wishing to enroll in 4 or more classes will be considered full-time.
·
Students
wishing to enroll in athletics or any extra-curricular activity must meet all
eligibility requirements.

Do you have a shadowing
program?
HCS
encourages students that are interested in attending our school to visit and
shadow a current student during a school day.
Shadowing allows the applicant to meet our student body and faculty, as
well as experience a day at HCS.

Available?
Needs-based
assistance may be available. Assistance is awarded on a yearly basis. To determine the availability of Financial
